She points at me while giggling. I help her by pointing where her feet need to be, and she tries the move again. He also helps her out by pointing where she turns wrong. She fixes it, and she’s back to dancing a full step again. Spike grabs my waist, and he pulls me on his lap. We watch her move, and I even help her with a few additional moves.

She glances at us uneasily, “You two need to come over here and dance. I feel as if the both of you are constantly analyzing me, and that feels uncomfortable.”

I glance at the lack of space, “I would love to show you, but this is too small of an area, and I will have to wait to show you more steps later.”

Spike pulls me back, while he keeps me close to him, “I agree with Rosalie, and we need a bigger area. I will be happy to help you out.”

I love feeling his soft, but huge hands on my hips. He moves one of his hands to trail a finger up and down my spine. His touch sends an instant quiver through my spine. I quickly leave his side.

“I think we need sleep,” Spike suggests.

Ember gives me the bedroom this time, and I take another shower with my snap. I’m able to shave my legs with accuracy.

After opening the bathroom door, Spike is laying underneath the blankets. I review myself, and I make sure that I’m wearing the right nightgown this time. After I take off my robe, it reveals a teal nightgown. He pats on the bed, and I crawl next to him. He props his head on the pillow, and he shifts me closer to him. I feel the urge to kiss his cheek. He brings me to his chest, and he runs his fingers through my hair, “That was a great move you taught her. I have never seen that move from anyone yet.”

“You’re not so bad either. For a scary guy, you might know how to dance.”

He musters another small laugh, “You really enjoy taunting me. You really don’t have any idea who I am—do you?”

“You can be a jerk at times, but you can also be really sweet, like you are right now. You confuse me though. You are a tease, and you know it too. You know what you’re doing.”

He caresses my cheek, “If you only knew me. I will admit that I love teasing you though. I think you enjoy teasing me too. I was hoping that you would wear that sexy negligee you wore last night. I think I would have taken you last night, if I weren’t so damn tired. I would love to snap it back on you right now, so I can see the front of that negligee. I need a sneak peek.”

“Are there other places that you’re pierced at too?”

“If you’re asking me if that is pierced, the answer is no. I have my limits. The family jewels have no tattoos or piercings either, if that’s what you’re curious about.”

I lean up, and start to count all his piercings. He has ten piercings in each ear, from the bottom of his ear lobe to the top of his ear. He also has one in each flap on the opposite of his lobe. There is a piercing at the bridge of his nose. He has three in each eyebrow and one in each nostril.

He realizes what I am doing, “Are you counting?”

My hand covers his mouth. I count the five in his lips, two in his chin, and he finally sticks his tongue out to reveal two more.

“I can’t believe that you’re actually counting, instead of just asking me!”

I count the two nipple rings, and two naval rings. I lean on his chest after I finish counting, “Are you sure that I’m not missing any?”

He rolls me over to my back, “I think you’re bored, and no, you’re not missing any. None of them hurt worse than the other piercings either. You have two piercings in each of your ears. How is that any different than mine?”

I tug on my right ear, “I did this for a fashion trend. I don’t want to pick another fight with you. I think you may have gone just a little overboard. I find myself staring and counting your piercings, instead of seeing who you really are. How do you even kiss anyone with so many rings in your lips?”

He doesn’t appear happy at first, but he answers my question, “I can kiss easily, and I have no problems.”

He leans in and his lips match mine. The piercings don’t bother me at all. He keeps pressing his lips up against mine. He slides his tongue slowly inside my mouth and he rubs my tongue with his. My body immediately lunges forward. I can feel the sparks flying between us. I kiss him, and I want more from him. My hands entangle in his soft golden hair. He astounds me in a very good way. I’ve never had a kiss like this before. He is definitely a million times better than Jesse is. The tongue rings don’t bother me either, because I actually enjoy them. I unexpectedly kiss him harder, and he holds me tightly.

We kiss for five minutes straight. He seems to enjoy it also, but he pushes me back on the bed.

He breaks our embrace, “Rosalie this is so wrong on so many levels. I refuse to make out with my dead best friend's daughter! If he were still here, he would kill me! This is wrong, and we need to stop this right now.”

I try to kiss him again, but he refuses, “Rosalie, I’m not the right fairy for you. I think you’re struggling with being an adult fairy right now. This isn’t even right.”

I pull away from him, “I really don't understand you!” I pout again, and left the bed. My robe hugs my shoulders.

“Rosalie, please don’t leave. I believe that us as a couple is a really bad idea.”

I take one more glance at him, and then slam the door behind me. I tie my robe tight. Ember is fast asleep in the lounger, and I place a warm blanket over her.

I motion to Blade, “You can share the bed with your brother tonight. I want to be left alone right now.”

Blade takes his cue, and he stands up with his pillow. He walks back to the bedroom. I lay in the recliner, and turn the television on with my finger.

Fairy News is on, “Today, Summer Solstice has begun, and this will be a very hot summer this year. Fairies had better plan on hundred degree heat plus humidity. Keep it in the sun fellow fairies.”

The news blasts for a while, and I start to doze off until a commercial catches my full attention.

“Do you think you can dance? Do you think you have what it takes to beat the master? We will give away one million dollars to one woman, who thinks she can beat the master. He wants just one woman, who can outlast and out dance him for a once in a century view of the great Joseph Cirrus! Yes, female fairies, he’s searching for you! Joey will not only put up a million dollars, but his hand in marriage! Yes, that is right ladies! If you think you can out dance him, you will have his hand in marriage! The dance off will take place in New York City, on August the twentieth! Mark your calendars ladies, and bring your moves!”

The commercial continues, “You must be at least eighteen years of age, and void where prohibited.”

The commercial wakes me up, and it causes me to sit up straight. I cup my mouth in shock. I take out my calendar to view the date. That’s funny, because the dance off is the night after my date with Spike. I wonder if he even knows. I wrote down the date, time, and place. I refuse to miss watching the legendary Joseph Cirrus dance. The excitement builds up inside of me. I get to see my idol dance again. He will marry the first woman who out dances him.

What does a good daughter do? I call his mom, “How is my favorite ‘unofficial’ daughter doing?”

I tap on the couch to turn it different colors, “I need your advice. If a certain, someone is having a dance off. Should that other person take him down?”

“Joey called me, and he informed me that he wants to find a daughter-in-law for me. He wants to find a girl who can out dance him. I thought he would find someone to love, but he says it’s dancing that he loves. He wants dancing to be his top priority. Rosalie, I’m afraid he’s making all the wrong choices again. What do you intend to do?”

I glance at my calendar, “Do you want me to enter this dance off? Do I have your permission to marry your idiot son?”

Violet laughs, “I want you to retrieve my son, and please bring him back to me. Please beat my son, Rosalie. You have my permission to marry him, and I would love to see the expression on his fa
ce, when you beat him. Good luck, Rosalie!”

I stop changing the colors on the couch, and put it back to its original color.

“I love you too momma and I plan on snapping some sense into your son. But, I will have to practice daily now.”

“I know you will do well, and I have complete faith in you. Go show up my son. If you’re unable to, than nobody else will,” she lifts me up.

Gabe and Gadriel are fast asleep in the spare bedroom. Snow and Ice are our courtesy drivers for a change. I have her permission to embarrass the great Joseph Cirrus. Before I fall asleep, I change the channel to mortal channels. We make it to Florida, and they pull over for sleep. I lay right next to my cousin, and place a blanket over us. I drift off to sleep to start thinking of strategies. Jazzy sleeps right next to us too.

The next day she wakes me up squeaking in my ear, “We are finally in Florida! This is so freaking awesome!”

I laugh at her, and she makes breakfast for everyone to eat. I ask her where Spike went.

“I haven’t seen him, since last night. I think he is still asleep.”

To my dismay, he’s not in the bedroom. He is gone, but Blade is fast asleep.

I put on a tank, and a pair of short shorts to move in. There is a room with nobody in it. I lock the door with her inside.

  “What are you doing?”

I hand her the flier of “The Great Joseph Cirrus,” and she glances at me amused. “Are you serious? Rosalie, you’re not participating in this—are you?”

I smile, and turn the radio on. I take my spot with my tennis shoes on, but I prefer to dance either barefoot—or with heels on. The music hits, and I let the melody take over my body. I pop my hips just right, but my leg doesn’t want to pop either. I keep practicing that move, but this isn’t working out. She suggests a couple of different ways to do it. I continue to move my body and she claps.

“You’re so good, sis! Joseph Cirrus needs to watch out for you!”

I continue to practice dancing. Snow finds me first, and Ice enters ten minutes later. They watch me intently, and I can tell that they want to glow. I try the move again, but I’m unable to complete the step. Snow moves in behind me, “You need to pop this out a little more, and I think you will get it if you just do that.”

While Snow stands behind me, Spike walks in. He refuses to listen to me. He automatically smashes through a wall with his fist, and I chase after him.

  “Spike, will you please stop!”

“I would, but you love having his hands all over you. You just showed me what type of girl you really are. Now, I have no interest in dating you.”

He slams the RV door, and he makes me so angry with him. I move back to the spare bedroom to cry.

“I’m so sorry, Princess, and I thought he overheard us talk about dancing. I will learn to keep my hands off you. I’m really sorry, but I’m only trying to help you out.” Snow leaves with Ice.

Ember holds me, while I cry. My soul aches for Spike, but I also want to put Joey in his place. The right decision is clear, and I need to give up on Spike to focus on Joey instead. I practice hard for the next two hours. I purposely skip over that move until the end. I constantly hit the floor, and miss that one critical move. After I become sweaty, I have to stop for the day.

We walk in the living room to find the men playing poker. There is sweat pouring down my body. I ignore all of them. After a shower, I put on a pair of pale shorts with a teal top. The flier returns to my bag. Ember starts to drive the RV, and without a second thought, I jump in the passenger's seat next to her. She turns on the GPS, and we are off.

She starts laughing, “This thing is nothing like our cars! I feel as if I’m driving a tank!”

I laugh, and put my shades on. I hand her a drink and her shades. She wears a matching top, but mine reveals my back. We laugh at an orgasm song on a comedy channel, and we both have a morbid sense of humor.

“Oh heck, look at those guys!”

I peek out the window to view mortals hollering at us. I wave right back at them.

“I’m surprised that you did that!”

“That’s what happens, when two single ladies want to hook up.”

She passes those guys, “You’re so silly! I still can’t believe that you just did that!”

My feet remain on the dashboard, and I start working on my toes, “I don’t think you can count Jesse as a boyfriend. I bet he’s back with Gardenia anyway”

“I thought my name is bad, but Gardenia? Are her parents hippies?”

“They are the biggest nature freaks that you will ever come across.”

She yelps, “I love that song! I will crank that up in here!”

I giggle at her song selection. She learned that there is hip-hop. She sits in the driver's seat dancing and singing. I love hearing her voice. Gadriel and Gabe stare at her strangely, and I think I caught them smiling at her. She parks the RV at a small diner.

Spike opens the door for me, but I continue to ignore him. I order Ember’s and my meal together. I even walk away from Spike, and sit in the corner booth with Ember. We discuss the move that still bugs me.

She stuffs a salty fry in her mouth, and Gadriel joins our table, “Can I sit next to you, Ember?”

“You can if you want to. Rosalie, you will get the hang of that move, and I have complete faith in you.”

Gadriel sits down “What’s your vocal range? Are you a first soprano?”

“My vocal range is first soprano. Why? Do you sing?”

Gadriel grins at her, and he tucks a loose strand of her hair behind her ear, “We all have a certain type of musical talent, and yes, I can sing.”

  “What is your vocal range?”

Gadriel taps his fingers, “I’m a high tenor, but I can sing bass at times, if I have to.”

I purposely distract him, when I think this is getting too deep, “So, when is your wedding?”

Gadriel appears shocked, “I’m surprised that you would ask me that. I’m due to marry, after this trip ends.”

Ember coughs, “I have to finish eating, and throw out my trash. I want to congratulate you on your engagement, and your impending wedding, Gadriel.”

Gadriel gives her a mournful stare, when she says that to him. She hands me the keys, since it’s my turn to drive. All of the men grimace, when I take over the wheel.

She leans her seat back, “I trust you Rosalie, and you have drastically improved, since last year.”

We make it on the interstate with the RV intact. We drove to Orlando with my driving skills. There were a few scary moments, but she helps me out. We move the RV to the campground, and I try to park the thing a few times, but he had enough. He walks over to me, and shifts the gear in park.

“Let me park it, Rosalie. I really don’t feel like paying for your accident tonight.”

I left the gear in park, after I mumble a few expletives at him. Spike takes over the wheel, and he places the RV in its spot.

“Do you want to practice one more time?” she asks me.

Spike overhears us, “Where are you girls going?”

I won’t bother to answer him, and we walk out the RV. We move quickly to a spot in a gazebo with no seats. She brought my stereo from the RV. I practice my dance routine again, but only to fall on the ground, “I don't think I can do it Ember. This isn’t an easy move to do.”

“Why not kick it out of your routine? Do you have to do it?”

“I will never have a chance with Joseph, if I’m don’t complete this one move. I won’t win at all, and I’m so afraid of losing. I have no other choice, but to do this one simple move.”

I pop and try to twist, but I fall during the twist part. When I feel myself slipping, I stop the routine, and restart the move again. I’m doing a difficult dance move with an additional turn. I have the first part down, but the turn is off.

I finish the rest of the routine, and she is still clapping, “I think it’s great the way it is.”

  Somethi
ng moves quickly, and walks right behind her. There are some unfriendly looking things coming after us.

I keep my voice steady, “Ember, you need to do me a huge favor right now.” she glances at me, and I quickly order, “You have to close your eyes for me.”

She does exactly, what I asked her to do. I snap my fingers to put her in a deep sleep, and then I quickly teleport her back to the RV, so that nothing happens to her.

I immediately duck, and dodge one of the men. I realize what they are by the rotten scent and fangs. “Come here, pretty fairy!”

I slam hard against the pavement. The rogue reveals his fangs to me, and he quickly jerks my head to the side. I close my eyes knowing that any minute, I’m about to die. I panic and zap him off me at the last second. I stand up and try to run, but they are too fast. I scream, because I believe that I’m about to die.

A bright sunglow flare zaps the rogues off me. He jumps right in front of me, and he rips their heads off with his bare hands. Their heads pop off, and bounce on the ground like cherry water balloons. Their heads stop bouncing, and explode everywhere. He kills five rogues in one sweep, but I’m freaking out. I watch him as he places their bodies in a pile, and he lit them in a gold fire. The rogues start to burn, turn to dust, and then they disappear. He walks over to me, and he holds his hand out.

I’m still shaking violently from the horror I just witnessed, but I take his hand. He throws me over his shoulders, “You will never leave my sight again!”

He snaps us back to the RV. The men unfreeze Ember for me, but before they do that, they wiped her memory of the last hour clean.

Ember wakes up from her frozen state, “Do you want to practice, Rosalie?”

I managed to keep my composure, and shake my head no, “I think we need to rest first.”

She glances around, “I think I’m sleepy too, and I’m going to bed now.”

I’m about to take my shower, but he stops me, “We need to have a talk.”

I follow him back outside. We walk for a few minutes in the hot summer air, and he stops me, “I want to apologize for my behavior yesterday, and I didn’t realize what was really going on. I jumped to conclusions, and for that, I want to say that I’m sorry for my actions. That was highly unprofessional of me; however, from now on we will keep our relationship as business only. I don’t want to date you, because you’re excessively too young for me, and I hope you understand, what I’m saying to you.”
